Hatteras Yachts wanted a larger, faster, smoother-riding yacht with equal parts style and substance. Its 80 Motor Yacht answered the call.

Notable features: Her Beam was 3 feet wider than her 75-foot sibling’s. An enclosed flybridge was a $300,000 upgrade. The 80 was built to accommodate 2,000 hp MTU 16V 2000s, and twin 1,550 hp Caterpillar C30s were an option. With the Cats, she’d hit a 20-knot fast cruise at 1,800 rpm.
Belowdecks: A four-state-room layout included a full-beam master with en suite his-and-her head.
Availability: At press time, six Hatteras 80 Motor Yachts were on the market, ranging from 2004 to 2013 and from $2,890,000 to $5,395,000.
