The term “sport motoryacht” hints at speed, and it can be used to describe the 80 Ocean Series, which can hit 30 knots at full gallop. The 80’s signature hull design delivers a fast, comfortable ride, even in the most onerous conditions. The design owes much of its performance to twin 1,600 hp 10-cylinder MTU diesel engines coupled to Hamilton 651 waterjet drives, which also give it a shallow-water-friendly draft of just 4 feet. While Hunt 80s are rare on the brokerage market, at press time there was a 2016 model listed for sale at $2.9 million.

“A gracefully curved wooden staircase ascends to the 80’s climate-controlled enclosed flybridge. Here, a soft leather bench seat offers panoramic views while the captain commands the ride from one of the twin Stidd helm seats. Wing stations are positioned aft so the captain has good all-around visibility when docking the vessel.”
