The Riva 88′ Folgore is designed by Officina Italiana Design in partnership with Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group. The Folgore (“lightning bolt” in Italian) is powered by twin 2,435 hp MTU 16V 2000 engines, with optional 2,638 hp MTUs also available. Riva reports a 30-knot cruise speed and a 36-knot top hop with the standard motors. The bigger MTUs reportedly bump cruise speed to 32 knots with a 38-knot top speed.
At press time, there were two Riva Folgores for sale, ranging from $7.4 million to $8.6 million.

“When Riva launched the 66 Ribelle, it introduced its Sportfly line, which combines a performance focus with the lines of an express cruiser and the function of a flybridge. The Italian shipyard takes that idea to new lengths with its Sportfly-range flagship 88′ Folgore. It’s a look that should appeal to cruisers and speed fans alike. Riva says the yacht’s sporty aesthetic is partially inspired by automotive designs.”
