The Tiara 5200 Express hull fabrication involves vacuum-bagged lamination using epoxy resin instead of polyester. The process produces thinner, stronger, lighter GRP that won’t absorb water, and it reduces hull weight by half. The 2000 Tiara 5200 Express called Shelly Anne is a good example of this construction technique—it’s located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and offered by Allied Marine for $469,000.
Engine room access is concealed in the lower cockpit lounge seat, or the room can also be entered through the upper cockpit dropdown hatch. The vessel is powered by twin Cat 3406E engines, each producing 800 hp for excellent performance. As of August 2025, the engines have approximately 1,400 hours on them.

The large, distortion-free, curved-glass Taylor windshield panels provide good visibility while the upper cockpit climate control system features two 16-ton A/C units to ensure maximum air conditioning in the hottest conditions within the fully enclosed helm deck. An optional set of forward shore power connections are available, mounted in the anchor chain locker to make bow-in docking an easy choice. And while the 5200 Express is primarily a dayboat, the three staterooms make overnight or weekend cruising quite comfortable.
