“Being a catamaran, the PC60 has a wide beam (nearly 25 feet), and the builder takes advantage of every inch of volume. You can invite 20 friends for a party aboard, and there’s elbowroom to spare, even if you only use the main deck. There’s seating for everyone too. The PC60’s twin-hull design also means exceptional stability, which allows you to have loose chairs, even on the flybridge, without worrying. There’s no need for stabilizer fins or gyros; the hull form gives a solid ride, and it’s comfortable in a seaway,” Yachting previously reported.

With a 24-foot, 6-inch beam and volume that rivals that of a 100-foot monohull motoryacht, Horizon Power Catamarans’ PC60 gives owners home-size living and entertainment spaces in a 60-foot platform. Indigo is a 2013 PC60 that was built by and is currently listed with The Powercat Co, a subsidiary of Horizon Power Catamarans, for $1.965 million. The power cat has a Bahamas-friendly sub-5-foot draft, three well-appointed staterooms and a 1,500-nautical-mile range.

Twin 715 hp Caterpillar C12 diesels power Indigo to an 18-knot fast cruise and a 23-knot top hop. Its range at 18 knots is 540 nautical miles, while kicking back to 9-knot economical cruise speed increases range to about 1,500 nautical miles.

Indigo features the on-deck master layout. The salon has an L-shaped settee forward to port with a desk and chair aft. The galley is to starboard with a four-stool bar countertop. Rich, cherry hardwood soles and neutral tones combine with loads of natural light, creating a spacious vibe.

The galley, which is large enough to accommodate several chefs and helpers, has an Avonite backsplash and countertops, a Sub-Zero stainless-steel refrigerator, enough stowage for an extended cruise and an array of GE appliances, including a four-burner cooktop, a microwave/convection oven and a dishwasher.

There are accommodations to sleep six, including the on-deck master stateroom and two staterooms belowdecks. The en suite on-deck master has a walkaround king berth, a 32-inch flat-screen TV and 180-degree views thanks to the raked windows forward. Forward, in the starboard hull, is the VIP stateroom with an athwartships queen berth and en suite head. The third en suite guest cabin is aft in the port hull and has twin berths that convert to a queen. There is a two-berth crew cabin aft in the starboard hull.

The PC60’s Sea Crylic enclosed, all-weather flybridge has a bluewater-ready helm ready thanks to its instrument console with engine controls, chart plotters, fuel monitoring and instrument monitoring. Aft, an L-shaped sofa offers dining for six, just pull up a couple chairs. To port, is a two-stool bar with a grill station. The after section of the flybridge has space for a tender and the 1,500-pound hydraulic winch, however, when the tender is deployed the space becomes the go-to sunning spot with a couple of chaise lounge chairs.

In the cockpit, guests will find alfresco dining for six at the fixed high-gloss wood table with six chairs. All the eway aft is a transom bench seat that can be shaded when the sun gets high.
