The first generation of Fairline’s flagship Squadron 68 was released in 2019, and it is still the largest yacht in the British builder range of boats spanning four lines from 33 to 68 feet length overall. Galati Yacht Sales has the 2020 Fairline Squadron 68, Blind Date, for sale at  just shy of $2.6 million.

“Our collaboration with celebrated Italian yacht designer Alberto Mancini combines contemporary style with a long-standing heritage and our award-winning range of designs have become synonymous with outstanding seakeeping, performance and luxury,” Fairline says.

The Squadron 68 has a sporty and sleek profile, aided by covering the topside windows with a black slash that runs nearly the length of the yacht, which brings natural light into the staterooms belowdecks. The rear-leaning supports for the hardtop accent the profile, and reverse-raked glass on the flybridge helps with the aesthetic while reducing glare off the water.

The flybridge has a number of features that enhance the entertainment experience from the hardtop’s sunroof, to the Kenyon single-burner electric barbecue grill, to the Isotherm refrigerator and ice maker, to the multiple lounge options. The after section of the flybridge is sure to be a go-to hangout spot with its two L-shaped settees. There’s also a U-shaped dinette forward to port and a two-person lounge pad forward to starboard, directly across from the two-seat upper helm station.

The cockpit offers another alfresco dining location with the fixed dining table and U-shaped settee. When it’s time to enjoy cocktails with friends or catch some sun, the foredeck is designed for relaxation with a U-shaped dinette abaft a two-person sun pad, which converts to additional lounge seating by lifting two back rests.

Serving and entertainment is made easy onboard Blind Date thanks to the yacht’s galley-aft layout. The dividing window between the galley and the cockpit lifts to create a walk-up bar. Galley appliances include:

  • Miele refrigeration
  • Three-burner Miele stove/oven
  • Miele microwave oven
  • Isotherm ice maker
  • Miele dishwasher

Forward, the salon has a three-person sofa to starboard, with a pop-out TV behind it in case you need to catch the big game during the weekend cruise. To port, a wraparound sofa and fixed tables offer a lounge or dining spot.

When it’s time to turn in for the evening, guests will find three en suite staterooms belowdecks. The full-beam amidships master stateroom has a queen berth and the forepeak VIP stateroom also has a queen berth. The starboard guest stateroom has single berths.

  • ACR Global Fix 406 Epirb
