To celebrate their 90th anniversary Gucci has teamed up with Riva and Officina Italia Design in creating the made to order 33-foot “Aquariva by Gucci” speedboat.
With a fiberglass hull covered in 20 coats of glossy white paint placed against a rich Mahogany interior it possesses a look that is classic Italian. The seats and sundeck posses classic Gucci style with their signature green-red-green color scheme adorning it.
“Over the decades the iconic Riva boat has become without doubt one of the most evocative images of Italian style, sophistication and elegance,” says Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini. “It is especially meaningful in Gucci’s 90th anniversary to be able to recognize and celebrate the great traditions and values of both Gucci and Riva.”
Twin 380 horsepower Yanmar engines power the Aquariva by Gucci. An innovative two-speed electronic gear allows for a maximum speed of 41 knots with a cruising range of 150 miles, according to the builder.
Whether it is models walking the runway or yachtsmen walking the dock, Gucci ensures that all their clients do so in style as they include an exclusive goodie bag with the “Aquariva by Gucci” filled with nautical themes accessories. Included is a series of handbags, boat shoes, flip-flops and a towel all matching the boat.
Priced at about $760,000 the Aquariva by Gucci will be available at select Gucci retail locations starting at the beginning of next year.
