You have to have some serious muscle in the engine room to get away with a name like The Zoomer, and this 65-foot Marquis flybridge motoryacht makes good on the moniker with a pair of 1,652-horsepower Caterpillar C32s.
“She cruises at 28 knots and maxes out at about 34,” said broker Carlos Navarro with Bradford Marine Yacht Sales, which has the Marquis listed at $1.6 million. “There’s great access to the deck from the bow, and there are bow and stern thrusters on this boat, so she’s easy to maneuver. Most of them, you’ll find with the bow thrusters, but the stern thrusters are an option. This one also has a second station in the cockpit area, so you can maneuver the boat from the cockpit when you’re coming into a slip.”
The Zoomer is a 2007 launch with 6 feet 8 inches of headroom, cherry woodwork, LED lighting, a surround-sound audio system, a glass-tread staircase and quarters for two crew. She accommodates eight guests in four staterooms including a master with a California king bed and his-and-her bath.
Other noteworthy features include an extended hardtop for year-round entertaining in warm waters and a hydraulic swim platform for launching the tender.
The Cats have 600 hours apiece on them and come with an extended warranty that’s good through 2016, according to Navarro.
