Arcadia Yachts in Italy has launched a Sherpa 80 XL that has a new layout, with five staterooms as opposed to the usual three or four.

The Sherpa 80 XL is a yacht that has close to 2,400 square feet of interior and exterior space in a 78-foot length overall. Water toys and the tender are stowed in a side garage, leaving as much of that space as possible available for guest relaxation.

In addition to the fifth stateroom, the newly launched hull also has a galley that opens onto the sky lounge for entertaining. The aft deck dining area can be closed and heated, a layout option that Arcadia is calling the “Jardin D’Hiver.”

Does the Sherpa 80 XL have solar power? Yes, it does. Solar panels provide about 3 kW of power for hotel needs. Main propulsion is twin Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines for a top speed around 23 knots and a range of 1,200 nautical miles at 10 knots.
