This Labor Day Weekend, the new Scorpion Bay Marina and Yacht Club, located on Acorpion Bay outside of Phoenix, Arizona, will be having their Grand Opening Celebration. Gloucester Harbor in Massachusetts, one of the oldest fishing ports on the Atlantic Coast, will play home to the 25th anniversary of The Gloucester Schooner Festival this Labor Day Weekend, September 4-7. The harbor will be transformed to showcase mariners of yesteryear as modern vessels sit alongside classic fishing vessels and sailing schooners. Newport, Rhode Island, will host the 30th Annual Classic Yacht Regatta this Labor Day Weekend. The event is sponsored by Panerai and presented by Land Rover North America. The weekend will also feature the Classic Yacht Parade through, when classic yachts of the highest pedigree cruise the harbor. A fleet of Huckin’s powerboats from the 1920’s and 30’s, concluding their Northeast Rendezvous that is also being held in Newport during Labor Day Weekend, will add to the classic ambiance of the weekend. www.moy.org
