The Ted Hood Design group designed Chimera, a 102-foot sloop from ALLOY. She has a beam of 26 feet, and draws 10 feet, 9 inches. Chimera is rigged with a Southern Spars aluminum mast and in-boom furling. Flat cherry panels and painted, grooved timber highlight her interior. … BURGER had a solid year with the debut of two new builds. A 108-foot sportfisherman was launched last April with a draft of only 5 feet and, according to the company, a reported speed of 30 knots. The 108 is the first Burger to carry the new 2,735 hp DDC/MTU 12V 4000 High Performance Series engines. Lady Grace Marie is a 122-foot trideck motoryacht, the first build in Burger’s Tri-Deck Series. Dee Robinson and the boat’s owner came together to create an Asian-inspired interior. Don O’Keefe was the naval architect, and he and the Burger design team did exterior styling. … In addition to La Marchesa, HARGRAVE launched the 109-foot trideck motoryacht Missy B. She was built with a big-boat approach, as evidenced by her impressive sky lounge and tri-level staircase. … HATTERAS launched two new yachts in its 100 series: a 100 Cockpit Motoryacht and a 100 Motoryacht. Additional crew quarters in the non-cockpit version are the biggest distinction between the two yachts. A standout feature of this series is the all-inclusive package in which boats are presented to prospective buyers. Allowances for electronics, china and crystal are included, as is a long list of standard equipment. Some of that equipment includes a 1,600-pound, fully hydraulic davit, a watermaker, a 15-foot hard-bottom inflatable with a 90 hp outboard, and a 16-inch, 60 hp bow thruster. … A 116-footer is the latest to come out of HORIZON‘s Taiwan shipyard. The 116 has a hull built under Scrimp and a superstructure of Divinycell cored composite. She is built for serious offshore cruising and has “ship-like systems,” displaces 180 tons and carries nearly 7,000 gallons of fuel. The exterior includes a sky lounge and walkaround side decks. Inside is a full-beam master suite that has access to a separate indoor jacuzzi. … LAZZARA just launched a 106-foot motoryacht. Though she looks like a trideck, thanks to a hardtop over her flying bridge, she is actually a raised pilothouse design. She has a 5-foot, 6-inch draft and is expected to hit a top speed of 28 knots, powered by 1,800 hp MTU/DDC Series 2000 engines. The 106’s interior includes four staterooms and a master suite, crew quarters for four and 7 feet of headroom throughout. … MILLENNIUM SUPER YACHTS launched a 118-foot motoryacht that takes performance and styling to a new level. This 118 has a well-thought-out interior with a split-level master and three guest staterooms. She is powered by MTU diesels driving Teignbridge five-blade Nibral S-class propellers. Another 118, stretched to a 122, is under construction. … Two new launches highlight PALMER JOHNSON‘s year. The most recent is Arrowhead, a 107-foot sportfisherman designed by Tom Fexas. Power comes from a pair of 2,250 hp Caterpillar 3512B engines. She is cruiser-friendly, with owner and guest accommodations for eight and crew accommodations for four. Fishermen will appreciate aft wing stations to port and starboard, a pilothouse helm and a 6-foot, 5-inch draft. … ROYAL DENSHIP launched two new builds in the past year. One is a 110-foot sailboat designed by Tony Castro, launched in November. The other, a 125-foot classic motoryacht, was a Tom Fexas design, also delivered to her new owners in November. … SOVEREIGN YACHTS has a new 120 Motoryacht, Chairman, with an interior by the Patrick Knowles Design Group. Mahogany and sepelle woods are used throughout the five-stateroom layout with two crew cabins. Chairman is powered by a pair of 1,800 hp Detroit Diesel 16V2000 engines and has a 6-foot draft. … WESTPORT SHIPYARD launched another hull in its series of 112-foot motoryachts in December and has another scheduled to splash in September. The series strives to offer comfortable accommodations without compromises in cruising capability. Each 112 has a fiberglass hull with Airex PVC core to meet ABS rules. They cruise about 12 knots and have a range of 2,500 nautical miles. A four-stateroom layout with crew quarters is standard.
