World Cruising Club Rally Schedule

The WCC has a number of great events planned for 2011-2012.

ARC 2011
Vessels depart from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 20, 2011.

Rally Portugal 2011
Vessels depart from Mayflower Marina, Plymouth, UK, on May 29. The rally continues to stopover in Bayona, Povoa de Varzim, Figueira da Foz, Peniche, Oeiras, and Sines. Vessels arrive in Lagos, Portgual, on June 21 (approximately).

ARC Europe 2011
Leg 1A vessels depart from Tortola, BVI, bound for Bermuda, on May 5.
Leg 1B vessels depart from the East Coast of the U.S. bound for Bermuda on May 5.
Vessels meet in Bermuda.
Leg 2 carries vessels from Bermuda to Horta, Faial, in the Azores Islands, arriving on May 18 (approximately). Then vessels cruise the Azores Islands.
Leg 3A vessels depart from Ponta Delgada in the Azores bound for Lagos, Portugal.
Leg 3B vessels depart from Ponta Delgada to ports of their choosing (unsupported finish ports).
The final prize giving is held in Lagos, Portugal, on June 21.

World ARC 2012
Vessels depart from the Caribbean in January of 2012. The fleet sails to Panama and transit the Panama Canal, then head into the Pacific Ocean. Stops are planned in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands and South Pacific islands such as Hiva Oa, the Tuamotos, Tahiti, Bora Bora, the Cook Islands, Niue and Tonga are all along the route. By July (approximately) the rally will reach Fiji and cruise to Cairns, Australia. There is a cruise inside the Great Barrier Reef organized before the vessels depart for the next leg, which goes across the top of Australia and leads them into the Indian Ocean. The rally visits Bali, Cocos Keeling and Chagos, and reaches Mauritius in October (approximately). The vessels then cruise to Richards Bay, South Africa, and work their way south to Cape Town by Christmas, 2012. In January of 2013 the vessels head out from Cape Town and cross the Atlantic to Brazil, and by April the vessels are back in the Caribbean.
