Why is She 99 Feet LOA?

Because this particular Hargrave was built for a Miami Dolphin who wore No. 99.

The 99-foot Hargrave_ Da Bubba_ has just been listed for sale on the brokerage market at an asking price of $3.595 million. She’s a highly customized build whose length was specifically designed to correspond to the NFL jersey number of her original owner, former Miami Dolphin Jason Taylor.

“It was custom built with many, many upgrades that made it one of the most luxurious and extremely well-equipped Hargraves of its kind,” says broker Ron Morgenstein, who holds the listing with International Yacht Collection. “It also had some places where there is extra head room for someone that tall. The original name was Katina. This is the second owner now selling it. The boat has been very well maintained.”

Da Bubba launched in 2005. She was built for entertaining, with a country kitchen-style galley, a Crestron entertainment system and four guest staterooms that have proved popular on the charter market. The master, Morgenstein says, is particularly impressive for a yacht of Da Bubba‘s size.

“The master is huge,” he told me. “There’s a his-and-her head with a Jacuzzi tub plus a separate shower. That’s a nice feature.”

Twin Caterpillar C30s give Da Bubba a top speed of 21 knots. Morgenstein says interested buyers can make appointments now for a tour at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where Da Bubba will be at the International Yacht Collection display. Contact Morgenstein directly at (954) 309-9740, ron@iyc.com, www.iyc.com, or simply look for the distinctive hull on the docks.

“She has a beautiful navy-blue hull,” he says. “That makes her unique and particularly attractive.”
