If Quint, Hooper and Brody had been armed with iPhones, the movie Jaws would have been a lot shorter. Meet the Expedition White Shark app — the first application that allows you to track adult great whites from an iPhone or iPad. Scientists at the Marine Conservation Science Institute have been tagging great white sharks with specialized satellite transmitters that allow them (and now you, as well) to track great white sharks around the world. In addition to tracking great whites (including two tagged from the Farallon Islands off California), the app has bios on the sharks and allows you to see detailed historic tracking data.
