San Diego is gearing up for the America’s Cup World Series, to be held November 16-20 on San Diego Bay. This will be the third event of the series, featuring both fleet and match racing. Nine crews representing seven nations will compete in the high-tech, wingsailed AC45 catamarans.
According to a press release, spectators will be able to see the racing from the Broadway Pier and Harbor Island, while the AC Village will be on Harbor Drive.
In the press release, Regatta Director Iain Murray stated, “I think the competition in San Diego Bay is going to be fantastic. The racing will be very close to shore, which means it will be great for spectators.
