Riva Debuts 56 Rivale

The new open boat fills out the Riva line.

Riva recently splashed a brand-new open boat on Iseo Lake in Sarnico, Italy.

The 56 made her debut to a crowd of 300 guests specially selected by Ferretti, during a dinner prepared by world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura whose Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, is one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the world. The fare, we are sure, matched the yacht, which has those classic Riva lines that leave boaters all over the world drooling.

The runabout’s aerodynamic profile is set in place by a sharply raked windshield, and augmented by large, glazed hullside windows that complete the effect. A transom garage houses a Williams 325 RIB while the cockpit features a large sunpad — a must for any self-respecting Riva. Riva says that the Rivale should be thought of as a “big brother” to the iconic Rivamare, and judging from what we know, that seems a fitting moniker for this Italian masterpiece.
