Grand Banks has announced the 46 Eastbay SX, a new model in their Down East-styled Series. With Zeus pod-drives from CMD, the standard twin 600-horsepower diesels should provide top speeds of over 30 knots, as well as improved handling and fuel economy. The 46SX also offers a three-stateroom layout option that makes the most of interior space freed up by the Zeus drives. www.grandbanks.com

Crescent Custom Yachts has begun constructing the first of its newest and largest-yet motoryacht series, a 144-foot, all-composite tri-deck design, scheduled for completion in the first half of 2010. Built on an original hull design by Jack Sarin, it features a bulbous bow and propeller tunnels by George Rodden. The first 144 will have large on-deck areas that emphasize the pilothouse and sky-lounge as focal points for entertaining. www.crescentcustomyachts.com
