Dolphin 74

On June 21 in Cattolica, Italy, Mochi Craft launched the new flagship in their Dolphin line, the Dolphin 74 (shown right). The Dolphin 74 is designed in the classic New England down east style, but with some Italian flair (there are six hull colors available). The Dolphin 74 is outfitted with twin 1,550-horsepower MAN diesels, providing a company estimated 28-knot cruise speed with a top speed of 31.5 knots. For a smoother ride, the Dolphin 74 can be outfitted with the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro System gyroscopic stabilizers. www.mochicraft-yacht.com

Mulder has recently unveiled plans for their Mulder 72 Convertible. Following the launch of a well-received Mulder 92 Flybridge to an Egyptian client in April, the shipyard got a request for a larger convertible, and designed the new flagship: the 72 Convertible. Designed by Guido de Groot, the new 72 Convertible is currently under construction with delivery planned for 2011. www.muldershipyard.nl

Grady-White launched their versatile, new Freedom 255 earlier this month. The 25-foot dual-console features a head, a roomy 60-square-foot cockpit with a 175-quart, fully insulated fish box (an additional 80-quart fishbox is under the bow to port), and a 26-gallon livewell. Her SeaV2 hull design and single or twin Yamaha four-stroke engines should offer a smooth and speedy ride. www.gradywhite.com
