Formula Cruisers has expanded its production line and announced that in July of 2009 they will begin construction of their new Prowler 10.4 Power Catamaran. The Prowler 10.4 will be powered by twin 60-horsepower outboards, giving it a cruising speed of 18 knots and a fuel burn of approximately 4 miles to the gallon at 15 knots. Island Style Custom Yachts, considered the newest “big boat” builder on the southern coast of North Carolina, has announced the launch of its first vessel this June. Morgan Yachts has announced the construction of the Dinghy 33, an almost 10-meter long open “tender,” that will be the first launch in Morgan Yachts new Dinghies series. Mulder Yachts has announced the launch of two new yachts, the Mulder 59 Convertible and the Mulder 92 Flybridge. The Mulder 59 Convertible will be all aluminum and will be fitted with two Volvo D9 engines offering 575 horsepower apiece, while the 92 Flybridge, the flagship of the Mulder fleet, will be designed with a round-bilged, semi-planing hull.
