Maritimo has extended their range with the announcement of their upcoming 470 Offshore Convertible. Benetti, a boatbuilder known for producing vessels strictly in the megayacht range, has decided they will “size-down” for their next project, the new Benetti Delfino 90. The displacement-hulled motoryacht, powered by twin MTU model 8V2000M72 engines with about 965-horsepower each, will give the yacht a top speed of around 14 knots, with a 1,500 nautical mile cruising range at 10 knots, according to the builder. www.benettiyachts.it

Ferretti will premier their new Ferretti 740 at the 2009 Genoa Boat Show. Following in the footsteps of the popular Ferretti 731, the 740 has spacious interiors, and a design and décor that focuses on warm tones and large sun-basked areas, thanks to their new hull window designs. The 740 will top out at around 30 knots with the help of her two MAN V12-1360 (or optional V12-1550) engines. www.ferretti-yachts.com

Perini Navi is a builder with a full plate, thanks to signed contracts for two 50 meter sailing yachts that will feature a Ron Holland and Perini Navi collaboration, and a 73 meter motor yacht from their Picchiotti Vitruvius series. The sailboat, a purchase from the Far East, is scheduled to splash in 2012, while the 73 meter motor yacht, an order sent across the pond from the States, will make it to the water by 2013. www.perininavi.it
