New Boats

The latest news from yacht builders.

Sanlorenzo has announced their new entry level launch in the Ameglia line that ranges from 62 to 108 feet. The SL62 has a flyingbridge and planing hull and the first hull, number 530, will be outfitted with twin 1,136 horsepower CAT C18 engines, as opposed to the standard MTUs.

Mainship plans to launch two new models in the upcoming months, the Mainship 35 Trawler (expected to splash this October) and the Mainship 35 Pilot (scheduled to launch in January, 2010). Both hulls are essentially improved versions (above and below the waterline) of the popular 34 Trawler.

Oyster recently announced the launch of their new 625. Keeping with the pedigree of the popular Oyster 61 and 62, the 625 is a Rob Humpherys hull design that boasts increased performance and handling and options for a sportier rig.

Aicon Yachts will debut its flagship, the Aicon 82 Open, at the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes. Keeping with the same basic theme of the smaller Aicon 62 and Aicon 72, the new 82 Open has a centralized electronic system, which, among other things, allows for the automatic management of the on board power supply and the ability to choose which utilities should get powered by an inverter.
