Vicem Yachts will display their new 61 Bahama Bay at the Tuyap Istanbul Boat Show, Feb 18-25. According to the company, the new model brings together the classic Vicem Down East style with technology from Volvo IPS. Like other models in the Vicem Vintage Line, the cold-molded process is used to build the BB61.
Antonio Caviglia, the Vicem of Europe Sales Director, describes the new model:
“The Bahama Bay 61, combines all of the great attributes of the Vicem Classic line, including the wonderful character of the cold-molded mahogany construction, with the modern advantages of the Volvo IPS drive. The result is a wonderful +20knots cruiser with outstanding maneuverability, excellent efficiency, and a 30-knot top speed. Furthermore, the specially designed exterior differentiates it from the Vicem Classic Line and provides for a more rakish profile, a fully covered
cockpit and increased interior natural lighting thanks to the new large oval side-windows in the master cabin and the kitchen. The interior layout is also unique, with a very spacious midship master cabin, a guest cabin with twin beds, and a very private and roomy VIP towards the bow. It is really a very harmonious boat.”
