Mulder Shipyards in the Netherlands has inked a deal to build its biggest-ever motoryacht, the transatlantic-capable Mulder 34M. It’s a 111-foot project with interior and exterior design by British firm Claydon Reeves, and with naval architecture by Dutch Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

The Mulder 34M will be the first motoryacht from the yard that is more than 300 gross tons, with specifications to MCA Code and RINA LY3 classification. It brings the total to seven yachts now under construction at the shipyard, with the 34M scheduled for delivery in summer 2015.

IYR in Monaco was instrumental in bringing the yacht’s owner and the shipyard together.

“We suggested suitable Northern European yards renowned for their quality for a project of this nature,” IYR broker William Molloy stated in a press release. “Mulder Shipyard, with their brand-new facility, impressed both us and our clients.”

The 34M is being described as having contemporary style and classic details. She will have a steel displacement hull with an aluminum superstructure. Features will include a folding balcony that makes the dining room an indoor-outdoor space. Accommodations will be for eight guests in two VIP staterooms and two cabins that can convert from double to twin beds. There also will be quarters for seven crew.
