If you needed any reassurance that the economy is doing just fine, you only needed to attend this year’s Miami Boat Show. More than 2,300 manufacturers spend their yachts and equipment across 2.5 million square feet of exhibition space, making the Collins Avenue waterfront look like one long raft-up. There were plenty of reasons to celebrate-and we did. Yachting, along with sister publications Motor Boating and Saltwater Sportsman, hosted a Time4 Marine Group party at the Rod & Reel Club with Marilyn Monroe impersonators, mini golf and gambling. In their own parties, Carver Yachts brought in Latin dancers and a beautiful buffet. Sea Ray celebrated its latest additions to the fleet with its owners and their friends, and Fairline partnered with Yachting, Rolls-Royce and The Residences at Atlantis to host an elegant champagne reception at their docks with wine provided by the 7th Street Wine Company.
