Mercury Marine has launched a new global website. It is intended to enhance the consumer experience while acting as a single, online point of reference for all boaters worldwide—and will include content in 13 languages.
“Delivering content in the native language of the site visitor is an important goal of this site redesign,” said Jon Mathews, director of global branding. “We did extensive research to determine which languages represented more than 95 percent of all site traffic.”
The rollout of www.mercurymarine.com is being done in stages. The North American version (in English, Spanish and French) is live now. By early 2015, variations will be live for Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Latin America and Europe. The new design is responsive, which means it is optimized for computers as well as tablets and smartphones.
