Tropical Storm Harvey made landfall in Texas on Friday and has brought record-breaking rainfall totaling more than 50″, according to National Weather Service reports. Mercury Marine has stepped in to assist by donating engines and boats for storm relief efforts.

The donations included 30 6 hp outboard engines, as well as 10 inflatable boats for the command center in Texas, plus a 40 hp outboard to the non-profit Boots on the Ground. Also, Mercury Marine-owned company Land ‘N’ Sea has donated 100 lifejackets to the relief teams in Texas.

The effort is a part of a Brunswick Corporation-wide effort to assist tropical storm Harvey rescue and relief teams.
