NavPod has introduced the PedestalPod 70 Degree, the first model in a new line of waterproof housings for sportfish chart plotters and fishfinders.
PedestalPods position electronic displays 12 inches above the deck at a 70-degree viewing angle. The black, powder-coated, 4-inch aluminum base is built for displays as large as 16 inches. A swivel lets users customize the viewing position. The NavPod housing has a double gasket system for a watertight seal. All wires run through the pedestal base.
“We increased the diameter of our pedestal to make the new PedestalPod 70 Degree rock-solid and capable of supporting 12- and 16-inch displays,” John McClelland, regional sales manager of Ocean Equipment, stated in a press release. “Raising electronic displays 12 inches off the deck and at a 70-degree viewing angle is ideal when fishing from the bow of your boat to position the fishfinder/chart plotter where you need it, when you need it.”
What’s the warranty? 10 years on all Gen3 NavPods.
