Make the Most of Winter

Harbormaster El Ramon

It’s winter and unless you’re lucky enough to live in the southernmost reaches of the country, your boat is probably on the hard, shrink-wrapped, dry-docked or lashed into your marina like a warm foot in a tight boot. No wonder cabin fever is starting to set in.

Die-hards know that forced time ashore can still be all about the boat. It’s a great time to research, plan, and launch improvements that will bring more enjoyment to your seasons afloat. Upgrade your electronics. Replace that wonky generator. Or transform your dated interior with fresh fabrics that make your vessel seem brand new.

No matter what part of the country you live in, the next few weekends have something boat-related to get you out of the house and day dreaming about the warm, waterborne months ahead.
