Krogen 44 AE
Kadey-Krogen Yachts has sold its 600th boat, a Krogen 44 AE that will begin production next month with delivery scheduled in autumn 2015.
The owners are first-time Kadey-Krogen buyers who worked with company salesman Greg Kaufman.
“Who would have thought that when the late naval architect and designer James S. Krogen doodled the first version of a Krogen 42 on a napkin for Art Kadey it would result in Kadey-Krogen Yachts [selling] 600 yachts?” company partner Larry Polster stated in a press release. “While 600 is just a number, this achievement is perhaps a timely reminder for us during this holiday season to be thankful for the founding partnership and Jim’s timeless design.”
Kadey-Krogen has been building yachts for 38 years. Today’s production is handled at Asia Harbor Yacht Builders in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where Kadey-Krogen has had a working partnership for more than 25 years.
