Dutch shipbuilder Heesen Yachts has christened its 164-foot Project Alba. Her new name? VanTom.

The superyacht was purchased at the end of 2015, and the yacht’s owners worked closely with designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini throughout the build. She was christened at Heesen’s shipyard in Oss.

The interior has a contemporary design with hand-crafted, wooden furniture. Her layout includes a main-deck master stateroom forward, plus five guest staterooms belowdecks. She accommodates a total of 12 guests.

Her first sea trial will be in the coming weeks on the North Sea.

Quick specs: VanTom has a top speed of 23.3 knots and a 3,100-NM range at 11 knots.

When to catch her in action: The superyacht will be delivered in January of 2018 and used strictly for private use.
