Want to get hands-on training to simulate an abandon ship scenario? That’s one of the offerings presented by the Power Safety through Seamanship course, which will be held on March 31-April 1 in Annapolis, Md. The Marine Trades Association of Maryland and the Annapolis School of Seamanship are presenting the event in conjunction with the 33rd annual Annapolis Safety-at-Sea seminar.
On Saturday, large group seminars and discussions will focus on a variety of topics relevant to motor boaters, along with on-the-water helicopter rescue, life raft and signal flare demonstrations by the U.S. Coast Guard.
Sunday’s hands-on training includes the abandon ship scenario, along with training for engine repair, systems and navigation.
