Rolex U.S. Sailing has just announced its lineup of events for 2014.
The Rolex Farr 40 North American Championship will be held May 14-17 in Long Beach, California. The host is Long Beach Yacht Club, which also hosted the event in 2011. More information is at www.farr40.org.
The New York Yacht Club 160th Annual Regatta presented by Rolex will be June 13-15 in Newport, Rhode Island. This is the country’s oldest continually run regatta and, this year, will serve as the first of three competitions to count in the Onion Patch Series, which includes the Newport Bermuda Race. New York Yacht Club Race Week at Newport presented by Rolex is scheduled July 12-16 in Rhode Island. It’s the ninth edition of the event, which has a split format that sees Classics and Metre-boat racing one week and Handicap and One-Design racing the following week. This year’s event will serve as the inaugural HPR International Championship, the Swan 42 National Championship and the J/109 North American Championship. The Rolex Big Boat Series is planned for September 11-14 in San Francisco. Its host is the St. Francis Yacht Club. Check out the details at www.rolexbigboatseries.com.
