Garmin has introduced Quickdraw Community, a free, online system where users can share and browse high-definition mapping content.
The Quickdraw Community is an outgrowth of Garmin’s Quickdraw Contours software, which lets boaters create personalized high-definition maps with 1-foot contours on any body of water. Quickdraw Contours comes standard on all echoMAP CHIRP products, and is available as an upgrade for other Garmin units.
“Garmin customers have been collecting Quickdraw Contours mapping and depth data on their devices since the free software feature became available earlier this year, and now they have a way to easily share that data with others,” Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales, stated in a press release.
