Frank Gary, a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association and past president of the Yacht Brokers Association of America, died of pancreatic cancer on September 19, 2014. He was 73 years old.
Bill Walczak of the Maryland-based Walczak Yacht Brokerage Service called Gary the “Cal Ripken of yacht brokers,” with unmatched drive and dedication to his profession. “He died with his spurs on,” Walczak wrote, acknowledging how Gary continued to represent buyers and sellers while battling cancer in the hospital.
