For owner-operators who may occasionally want to have crew aboard for a weekend or longer sojourn, the Ocean Alexander 78 Sport Bridge, Take Five, could be a solid fit. The 2012 flybridge motoryacht has a three-stateroom, four-head layout and a two-person crew quarters. It’s listed with Alexander Marine and is asking just shy of $2.8 million.

The salon has satin-finish Sakura and light-tone upholstery to create a comfortable, warm and inviting space for guests to relax and get social. There is an L-shaped sofa and oversized coffee table to starboard with lounge chairs to port.

The galley is past the forward bulkhead and to starboard. Dining on the main deck is found at the C-shaped dinette forward of the galley.

The after section of the flybridge is dedicated to the tender stowage and a 1,750-pound hydraulic davit. A grill station is found forward against the skylounge’s superstructure. Inside the skylounge, the helm station has two full-size electrically adjustable Stidd Admiral series seats. A bench seat and fixed table are abaft the helm making it a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat or carry on conversation with the captain en route to the next destination.

The cockpit, protected by the flybridge overhang, has alfresco dining space for eight at the transom bench seat and fixed dining table.

Sleeping accommodations belowdecks include three en suite staterooms that sleep up to six. The full-beam (20′) amidships master stateroom has a king berth.The forepeak VIP stateroom has a centerline queen berth and the final guest stateroom has twin berths.

Twin 1,500 hp MTU 10V2000 diesels power Take Five to a reported 24-knot top hop and an 18-knot cruise speed.
