Teledyne Raymarine’s new CAM400 is a compact marine IP camera that turns a compatible Raymarine Axiom chartplotter into an onboard video-monitoring system. The camera provides high-definition day-and-night video, giving captains and crew a better view of areas that can be difficult to see from the helm.
The wide-angle CAM400 can monitor cockpits, aft decks, swim platforms, side decks, utility spaces and other blind spots. It also can provide a rear-facing view when backing down, while helping captains keep tabs on crew, passengers and activity around the boat.
For additional situational awareness, the CAM400 works with Raymarine’s AR200 sensor to support ClearCruise augmented reality. The system overlays navigation information, including AIS targets and waypoints, onto the live camera view. Raymarine offers the camera and AR200 together in a bundled package as well.
Designed for recreational and professional applications, the CAM400 is suited for monitoring while underway, docking or at anchor. Pricing starts at $699.99, while the CAM400 and AR200 bundle starts at $1,449.99.
