Huckins Yacht Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida, launched the first Atlantic 44 in 1997, with some models set up as flybridge boats and others as express cruisers.
The 44 has Huckins’ Quadraconic planing hull form for a fast, smooth and efficient ride, even in rough seas. Top speed is 30 knots, and power options include a variety of twin diesels up to 370 hp.
Belowdecks, the accommodation plan includes one or two staterooms.
At press time, there were three Huckins Atlantic 44s on the market, ranging from $249,000 to $300,000.

“Freedom’s hull and superstructure were built one-off over a male jig. Closed-cell foam coring was secured to a computer-cut jig, and the outer fiberglass was laminated and faired. The jig was then removed, and the inner skin was laminated. In Freedom‘s case, this layout included an integral transom platform and a flying bridge. The Atlantic’s air-conditioned helm perfectly fit its owner’s needs.”
