Azimut has launched the first Grande 44M, introducing a new flagship that pushes the Italian builder further into the large-yacht segment. At approximately 144 feet (44 meters), the superyacht combines a new four-deck layout with lightweight construction and hybrid technology, and arrives with seven hulls already sold before its public debut.
The Grande 44M is scheduled to make its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, where it will headline the builder’s display.
Designed by Alberto Mancini with interiors by m²atelier, the Grande 44M is distinguished by a layout that dedicates an entire deck to the owner. Extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the superstructure allowed Azimut to relocate the wheelhouse to a dedicated upper level, freeing the owner’s deck for private indoor and outdoor living spaces with expansive views. Aft, the yacht incorporates a sea-view terrace and a transparent pool overlooking the beach club.
Behind the design is a package of technologies intended to improve efficiency and onboard comfort. A carbon-fiber Hull Vane foil works with Azimut’s Dual Mode hull to reduce drag and improve ride quality, while a mild hybrid system allows the yacht to remain at anchor for several hours without running generators. Solar panels integrated into the upper structure also contribute to hotel loads.
Azimut says the combination of carbon-fiber construction, hull design and hybrid technology can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 30 percent compared with conventional yachts of similar size.
The Grande 44M is completing final outfitting before delivery and will make its public debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
