My Alibi, a 1973 Matthews 56, has seen several upgrades over the years including new Mack diesel engines in 1998, new furniture, upgraded lighting and a Garmin electronics package, but its original classic style has been retained. My Alibi is currently on the market with Gilman Yachts at $289,000.
This vessel can easily be piloted by an owner-operator or professional captain from the pilothouse. The centerline helm is thoughtfully designed and has the following electronic and navigation equipment within easy reach:

The cockpit has an upgraded three cushion sofa, two teak folding deck chairs, high-low table and a wet bar with a stainless-steel sink under a fiddled hinged top and two stowage cabinets below, all shaded by the hardtop.
Looking for a little privacy? Grab a friend, a few cocktails and walk forward to the foredeck. Relax on a built-in bench-style cushioned settee while enjoying the panoramic views as you cruise down the coastline.
As you enter the full-beam salon, the first thing you notice is the glow from the original woodwork as natural light flows in from the side windows. The furniture has been upgraded to a three cushion sofa with accent pillows and coffee table, two chairs, four drawer antique desk with chair and stowage for personal belongings in a built-in open shelf and cabinet unit ideally arranged to the yacht’s design. Locking open the sliding glass door to the cockpit creates an open-air environment that flows from the cockpit to the pilothouse.

Forward the salon is My Alibi’s galley and dinette. The U-shaped dinette is located on the starboard side and provides a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee as you plan the day’s adventures. Adjacent to the dinette is the U-shaped galley which features the following appliances and amenities:

- LG five burner glass top cooktop and full size oven
- LG stainless steel microwave with work light and fan

- Six blue and gold trimmed cabinet doors
- Four additional cabinet doors

After a long day on the water, owners and guests can retire to one of three staterooms. The full-beam master stateroom has a private entrance from the salon with a queen berth and an en suite head. Built-in nightstands with two drawer, port and starboard shelves and drawers plus a cedar lined auto lit hanging locker provides plenty of stowage space. Forward with an entry way from the pilothouse are two guest staterooms with two twin berths each. The port side stateroom has twin side-by-side berths while the forward stateroom has twin over/under berths which could also be used as a crew cabin.

Where is My Alibi located? The yacht is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
