The Arcadia 85 U.S. Edition will take part in this week’s Art Basel Miami, a $3 billion international event that is the premier showcase for modern and contemporary art.

Built in Italy, the Arcadia 85 is an eco-friendly design with integrated solar panels. Each of the photovoltaic panels includes hundreds of high-performance solar cells that provide all the energy needed to power the yacht’s showers, refrigerator, lights and more. The deckhouse is made of double-layered reflecting glass to bring even more natural light inside.

Propulsion is a pair of 730-horsepower MAN diesel engines that provide a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots. At 12 knots, range is about 850 nautical miles.

The U.S. Edition of the Arcadia 85 differs from the Mediterranean Edition with enhanced generators for more powerful air conditioning, increased insulation for comfort in warmer climates and an electrical system that conforms to American standards. The galley has been opened to the dining area, and a washer/dryer cabinet has been added to serve the four guest cabins belowdecks (including an owner’s cabin).
