30 or Older, and Ready to Party

The Feadship Heritage Fleet steps out for the first time at Monaco Classic Week.

The Feadship Heritage Fleet was founded in April as a club for owners of the Dutch-built yachts that have been afloat for at least 30 years. At this month’s Monaco Classic Week, members were invited to the fleet’s first public event, which included an unveiling of the club’s logo at the Monaco Yacht Club.

Two of the Heritage Fleet yachts were present: the 105-foot Heavenly Daze, which launched in 1972, and the 73-foot Serena, which launched in 1964 (as Hull No. 1 in Feadship’s Caravelle series). Owners and captains of other yachts in the Heritage Fleet also were on hand for the event.

Several current members of the Feadship Board of Directors were in on hand, too. They attended the ceremony as well as the dinner that followed at the yacht club, showing the builder’s support for the new group.
