Amels, working with Moran Yacht & Ship, has sold its first Limited Editions 242. Construction has already begun, according to the Dutch builder, and the yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2016.

With the 242 finding an owner, all five Tim Heywood designs in the Limited Editions range, from the 180 to the 272, are now a reality. Nine Limited Editions projects across the size range are currently in build at the Amels yard in Vlissingen.

Key features on the Limited Editions 242 include a 2,500-square-foot owner’s deck and a pair of main-deck VIP staterooms, each with a bedroom, office, guest suite and dressing room. Overall, the yacht will accommodate 14 guests, two staff members (or bodyguards) and 19 crew.

All guests will likely enjoy spending time on the aft deck, which features a swimming pool that’s about 21 feet long by 11 feet wide. On the 242’s bottom deck is a full-beam spa that includes a sauna, steam room, gymnasium and fold-down platform for diving into the sea from the side of the yacht.

Estimated maximum speed for the 242 is 16.5 knots, with a range of 5,000 nm at 13 knots. Learn more at www.amels-holland.com.
