$10,000 Gift to Help Coasties

U.S. Coast Guard members and their families at Station Fort Pierce in Florida are getting new kayaks, standup paddleboards, and camping and fishing gear thanks to a $10,000 donation from Dyer Chevrolet to the Coast Guard Foundation.

David Dyer is a Coast Guard Foundation board member. He made the gift not only through his business, but also through his family.

Forty-five active and 15 reservist members are stationed at Fort Pierce. They serve South Hutchinson Island with a pair of 33-foot boats and a 45-foot response boat.
