It seems like just yesterday Heesen announced that it had sold Project Alida, a 55-meter (180 foot) superyacht. Now the Dutch shipyard announced the sale of Project Antares, another 55-meter Fast Displacement superyacht.

Omega Architects designed Project Antares’ exterior, featuring a 592-square-foot beach club. Her interior is from Francesco Paszkowski, who used Travertino and Calacatta marbles and Alpilignum teak to create an upscale, elegant feel.

“We played with chiaroscuro, light and shade, choosing fabrics and veneers that create a warm and cosy atmosphere. The design is characterized by geometric elements that are consistently repeated throughout the whole interior and highlight the coherence of the design philosophy, while the combination of wood and reflective elements gives a sense of openness,” stated Paszkowski.

“The style we have created in collaboration with Margherita Casprini for this new Heesen 55m couples the aesthetics of the most contemporary Italian design with the ingenious engineering typical of this Dutch shipyard,” he added.

Project Antares accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms, including a full-beam VIP. She’s expected to be delivered to her owners in November 2018.

“[The owner] loved the level of customization that [Heesen] was willing to do to accommodate his particular needs. We’re adding electrical to house a 77′ fishing boat. The owner is very seasoned and enjoyed the quick delivery schedule and the efficiency of the fast displacement boat.”

She’s designed for distance: The 180-footer has a range of 4,500nm at 13 knots.

Customized for an avid angler: This particular boat will be mothership for the owner’s high-tech 77′ sport fishing boat, which is also currently in build. A seasoned sport fisherman, the American owner plans to take Project Antares through the tournament circuit in Costa Rica, Cabos and beyond.
