From Lürssen to Sanlorenzo launches, 2017 has been a big year for big yachts.

Galactica Super Nova

One of the most exciting launches of the year was Galactica Super Nova. The 230-foot superyacht was built by Heesen, and the Dutch shipyard promoted the launch heavily, complete with a special event held on the superyacht at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Pink Gin VI

The Pink Gin VI is the only sailing yacht on this list, and for good reason — she’s the world’s largest carbon fiber sloop. The 175-footer and her accommodations include a master stateroom, six guest staterooms and four crew cabins.

Hasna

A lucky Australian owns this 240-foot yacht. A unique detail onboard Hasna is the engine room was placed forward of the accommodation level suites so that guests could have easier access to the yacht’s beach club.

Areti

Areti may be nearly half the size of the first Lürssen on this list, Project Thunder, but she’s still impressive in her own right. Areti is 278’9″ length overall and 48-foot-6-inch beam. Even better, she has an onboard spa — sauna included.
