Otam Yachts is introducing a line of all-aluminum, semi-displacement designs, and Hull No. 1 of the Otam SD 35 has already been sold.

The 114-foot trideck was designed in partnership with naval architect Umberto Tagliavini. Exterior and interior design are by Tommaso Spadolini.

She will be built for an experienced Italian yachtsman. Design elements include five staterooms for 10 guests and quarters for six crew. Mechanical features include zero-speed stabilizers and a pair of Caterpillar C32 Acert engines that drive the hull to a top speed of 22 knots, with a range of 1,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.

“We are extremely proud of this new contract, further proof of the quality of the shipyard’s know-how and of the Made in Italy [concept] — owner, designer, architect and shipyard, all Italian,” Gianfranco Zanoni, Otam’s CEO, stated in a press release.

Delivery from the shipyard in Genoa is expected June 30, 2016.
