Simrad has launched TripIntel, a navigational interface for users of NSS evo2, NSO evo2 and GO7 displays.

TripIntel creates a graphical presentation of real-time statistics and range data. It has a cruise performance indicator — with a “green zone” to help boaters tune trim and throttle for optimum fuelefficiency — as well as a history tab. Information shown includes estimated fuel range, total distance cruised, route taken, boat speed, fuel consumption, tides and more.

In addition, a chart view has a range-ring overlay that displays maximum range given current fuel capacity and running conditions.

“Consolidating the widest collection of marine and navigational data on one customizable display is a great way to help boaters enjoy their day on the water,” Navico CEO Leif Ottosson stated in a press release. “TripIntel simplifies the display of complex data, allowing boaters to understand so much more about how their vessel is operating.”
