Hull No. 1 has finished sea trials; three more 26XPs are on track to launch this year.

The Numarine shipyard in Turkey has completed sea trials for Hull No. 1 of the 26XP. The 85-foot yacht reportedly hit 28 knots, driven by 1,550-horsepower MAN engines.

Numarine designed the expedition-style yacht for a client who has owned three previous Numarine boats. The builder says the design limits onboard noise, with decibel readings of 35 dB(A)—about as quiet as a library—in the staterooms at anchor, and with the generator running. Cruising speed is 18 knots.

Can Yalman handled interior and exterior design, with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. They drew the 26XP with inspiration from a larger Numarine model, the 32XP.

Four staterooms are on board the 26XP, all belowdecks. The master is amidships with a study and a king-size berth.

A level up on the main deck, the salon has full-height windows. And a level above that, the flybridge is nearly 52 feet long, creating about 1,000 square feet of space that includes a dining area and stowage for a 16-foot tender.
