The Novurania Equator 730 is the latest launch from this venerable inflatable manufacturer. She is the optimum tender for a large yacht, or will do nicely as a family runabout.
Maximum horsepower is 250. When powered by Volvo Penta’s KAD 43 Duo Prop inboard, her performance is impressive, with a top speed of 50 mph. Engine options also include diesel inboards and jet drives.
The 44-gallon fuel tank should provide a respectable range at lower speeds.
The 8-gallon freshwater tank provides enough water for a quick rinse at the shower after snorkeling.
There are five air chambers in the boat’s D-shape tubes, and the 730 incorporates a collar system for increased interior volume.
The nonslip deck is 8 feet, 3 inches wide, and seating capacity is 13 people, according to Novurania. That may be a bit squished, but it’s also perfectly tolerable for a run to the shore.
The retractable aluminum T-top will fold down and lay snug in the bow area, reducing vertical clearance to a mere 56 inches. That should increase options for stowing the 730 on deck.
The stylish console also raises and lowers at the push of a button.
