The 247-foot sailing yacht Mirabella V, now renamed M5 by a new owner, arrived at Pendennis Plus in Falmouth this past weekend. There, the yacht will undergo a one-year refit of both its interior and exterior, according to a press release from Pendennis.

Exterior work includes a redesigned and extended stern and the installation of a side boarding platform. The interior design team of Redman Whitely Dixon will restyle the yacht’s interior to create a contemporary feel. The main engines, generators, switchboards, electric system and entertainment system will also be replaced.

“We are very proud to have been selected to complete the refit of such an iconic sailing yacht,” stated Stephen Hills, Managing Director of Pendennis Plus, in the press release. “It is through projects such as this that the superyacht industry in the UK, including our yard in Falmouth, continues to enhance its world-class reputation for exceptional build quality, design, finish and engineering.”
